After graduating from FIDM in Fashion Design, Carrie Vawter began pursuing her love of textiles.

 

Carrie’s work is deeply rooted in traditional quilting methods yet undeniably modern. Her hand-dyed fabrics explore the marriage of myth and mystery and the search for fabled lands, leading her to create one of a kind quilted pieces.

 

Her bold southern roots and rich family quilting ancestry are clearly visible in her work
